Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta again held a blended graduation for the fourth period of the 2020/2021 academic year and the first period of the 2021/2022 academic year. The graduation was held in three sessions, those were in the morning and afternoon on October 8, 2021 and in the morning again on October 9, 2021. The offline graduation was held at the KH Ahmad Dahlan UMS edutorium used the drive-thru method and online graduation was carried out through the Zoom Meeting platform and broadcast directly through the tvUMS Youtube channel.
The atmosphere of the graduation took place solemnly with offline graduates who applied strict health protocols and required to have been vaccinated twice or had carried out an antigen swab. Strict security was also carried out at the entrance of the building with graduation companions who were only allowed to wait outside the building.
The number of participants who graduated this time was 1360 graduated with 1314 of them from undergraduate programs and 46 others from post-graduate programs. Graduates in this period came from various faculties, namely from FKIP with 326 graduates, FEB with 348 graduates, Law with 41 graduates, Engineering with 124 graduates, Geography with 30 graduates, Psychology with 69 graduates, FAI with 77 graduates, FIK with 83 graduates, Pharmacy 25 graduates, FKI with 62 graduates, Medicine with 105 graduates, Dentistry with 24 graduates, and 46 graduates from postgraduates. Of all the graduates, 37% of them received cum laude predicate, or the number of 501 graduates.

UMS Vice-Chancellor I, Academic Affairs Prof., Dr., Harun Joko Prayitno said in his report that alumni were able to bring the characteristics of IKI (innovative, creative, and inventory), re-mingle with the community with their respective work environments, become motivators, become a personal role model in the work environment and society.

Whereas, Prof. Dr. Sofyan Anif, M.Si as rector in his speech, he said that UMS alumni must have two excess, not only academic ability in their respective fields but also spiritual ability. So, that collaboration would form an identity that is not only academics but also people who understand character.
"There are three combinations of values that must be developed in daily life, namely faith knowledge and charity. UMS alumni must have a difference, must have a competitive advantage. UMS alumni have a polite character, humble behavior (practicing the knowledge gained based on their faith) ", said Anif.
