First Ever UMS Greatest Gathering After Pandemic, “Alumni Tilik Institusi”

Ikatan Keluarga Alumni (IKA) and Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta together held a first ever Greatest Alumni Gathering event named “Alumni Tilik Institusi” that took place on Saturday night (27/8) at Edutorium K.H. Ahmad Dahlan UMS. Previously, same event were only held on a small scale between study programs. This event was attended by thousands of UMS alumni from any generations and also students of this year study.
Recently, the information of this event already published with some social media, such as Facebook (for elders), Instagram, Twitter, mass media partner, broadcast on Whatsapp and Telegram group and contagious information of alumni.Alumni and students that wanted to join this event were directed to filling up the online form and then scanning their code at the registration at exclusive registration table at Edutorium’s lobby. Some alumni are also seemed filling up On The Spot (OTS) form beside the online registration table. Any registered guests got one goodie bag and for alumni also got a culinary stand voucher.

Besides gathering, this event was held as UMS National Musyawarah (MUNAS) forum. In this forum, Aditya Warman was appointed as the new chairman of IKA UMS on this period. He is one of alumni and also a commissariat of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan which is expected to inspire, help and contribute on IKA UMS of this period.
This gathering event was enlivened by performance of WAMSINOMI Reborn and Group Band Humor Indonesia who also alumni of UMS. Beside performance, IKA UMS gifted some door prizes and Free Umrah Trip with Mubarak Group as the Grand Prize for any guests that started to be drawn in the middle of the event.

Met at the venue, Nurhidayat, S.Pd., M.Pdas Head of ACEC Section and Student Bureau Alumni said that, that was the UMS greatest alumni gathering right now, it just so happened that UMS has an adequate venue and we used this venue as much as possible. In fact, this event has already prepared back in 2021 but it still on pandemic so it postponed until this 2022. The event was held together with EXPO UKM in the afternoon at the same venue, “Coordination is the point and Alhamdulillah it can be coordinated as well,” He added.
Committee of this event, are mainly from IKA UMS, supported by Bureau of Student Affairs with students from student ambassador of this period. “The target is partially fulfilled and for unfulfilled target can motivate us for the next time”, told him.
Alumni Tilik Institusi invited UKM’s to enliven this event especially in culinary sector to grow the entrepreneurship of students. In the venue, alumni’s culinary voucher could be exchanged with any food or beverages that were provided by each UKM’s.
Current students of UMS were also invited because of some reasons. Firstly, it can do networking with successful alumni that have an ability to contribute for university with their knowledge. Secondly, introduce about their seniors and motivate them to can be as success as their seniors. Thirdly, this event used to grow the entrepreneurship of students by selling food and beverages in culinary stands. So, this event requested students to be participated and watched how their seniors can be success and believed that they can be as success as their seniors.
Mr. Nurhidayat expected that this event could be used as start points to make alumni be more enthusiastic to attend any kind of similar event, so it can be held routines every year.
