On August 22, 2022, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta again held the Grand Opening of the Masta PMB (Ta'aruf Period and Welcoming New Students) batch 2 for new UMS students for the 2022/2023 academic year. This event carries the theme of “Mencerahkan, Unggul dan Mendunia”. The Grand Opening of Masta PMB UMS batch 2 was held offline at the UMS Edutorium KH. Ahmad Dahlan UMS and was attended by 3,200 new UMS students.
There was no striking difference between the series of Grand Opening events of the Masta PMB UMS batch 1 and batch 2. There was only a change in the concept of a surprise event that has been prepared by UMS for its new students by giving the chancellor in the middle of new students and there were also door prizes for those who could answer questions from the committee while for the series of events and the committee were same as Masta PMB batch 1.
Through this Masta PMB, UMS wanted to give an impression to their new students by giving a warm and friendly welcome. So that, students could enjoy themselves while studying here. In addition, this PMB Masta was part of the personality course and would get a graduation certificate as well as a requirement to get a scholarship. Students who did not follow this event could join in the next batch around September.

“The hope is to be able to provide enthusiasm and inspiration for new students to become enlightened, superior, and global students. UMS students are expected to be able to become successor cadres who contribute to enlightening the nation's life, able to become agents of change, and also become superior individuals, who are not only average but above average so that they can contribute to the people and can achieve global achievements and be known in the international world," said Mr. Feni, the UMS Masta PMB Committee Chairman.
For Masta PMB next year, the location will be planned to remain in the Edutorium but the details have not been discussed because it is still next year. In this PMB Masta, UMS also informed new students about the Muktamar that will be held at the UMS Edutorium in November. The target is that students can enliven and together make this event a success and also become public relations for the community by being able to show the location and places of holding the congress at the UMS Edutorium.
