In order to welcome the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah & 'Aisyiyah, the Muktamar Committee held a Tabligh akbar event on October 8, 2022 at the Edutorium KH. Ahmad Dahlan UMS (University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta). This Tabligh Akbar presented Ustadz Dr. H. Adi Hidayat, Lc., MA who delivered material related to the nature of Muhammadiyah. This activity was the beginning of a series of events leading to the summit of the 48th Muktamar Muhammadiyah & 'Aisyiyah which will be held on 18-20 November 2022 in Solo.
The Tabligh Akbar event began with singing the anthem Indonesia Raya, Sang Surya and Mars 'Aisyiyah followed by reading the holy verses of the Qur'an. Furthermore, the event was opened by the Chancellor of the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, Prof. Dr. Sofyan Arif, M.Si as chairman of the recipient of the 48th Muhammadiyah & 'Aisyiyah Congress.

According to Sofyan, the initial target for the Tabligh Akbar participants was 100,000 people, with 5,000 people attending from the UMS Edutorium and 95,000 others joining online through Zoom Meetings and streaming YouTube through your TVMu account. But according to the information he got, 10,000 people participated in that event and there were still some who could not enter the building due to traffic jams. So, if it was totaled, there were approximately 15,000 people who attended the Tabligh Akbar event directly from the UMS Edutorium.
"On November 10, 2022 we will also conduct a syiar activity with the name 'Muktamar Talk' which will take the theme: 'Muhammadiyah Caring for Indonesia' and present a public figure Najwa Shihab and in it will also be present national figures, the General Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Center and several Nahdlatul Ulama figures (NU)," said Sofyan at the opening of the Tabligh Akbar yesterday.
He also explained that the opening of the Muktamar will be held on November 19, 2022 at the Manahan Building. Meanwhile, on the evening of November 18, 2022, a Ta'aruf Night event will be held at the Edutorium. In addition to these events, there are 2 other agendas that will be held in the context of the congress, namely the 'Muhammadiyah Technology Expo' and the 'Muhammadiyah Fair' which will be held at De Tjolomadoe.
