In welcoming the 48th Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah congress, Muhammadiyah held a pre-congress seminar with the theme "Internasionalisasi Gerakan Muhamammadiyah". This activity was held for two days on 30-31 May 2022 offline at the UMS Edutorium and also online through the ZoomMeeting platform and live streaming through the YouTube channel of the @University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta, @Muhammadiyah Channel, and @tvMu Solo. On the first day, around 400 participants attended the event offline, while on the second day; the participants who were invited to attend the seminar were not limited because they could be done online.
Prof. Dr. H. Khudzaifah Dimyati, M.Hum as the chief executive of the activity said that "As PCIM (Muhammadiyah Special Branch Leader) attends seminars offline including several invited Ministers, there are also attributes that are invited but some are online. But all the PCIM who are invited online are because they are located in different regions of the country, which are certainly far away."

He also explained that this activity is one of the mandates of the Muhammadiyah Makassar congress. Muhammadiyah wants to internationalize to provide information to the world community because the ikhwanul muslimin is already very well known. Muhammadiyah is still below one-two digits about the Islamic movement which at that time was unknown and not yet published.
"For example in the world of education. There is UMAM (Muhammadiyah Malaysia University), then there is University College in Australia. This proves that Muhammadiyah has gone international. The most important thing is that Muhammadiyah then gains recognition in international relations," said Khudzaifah.

At the event, Muhammadiyah invited 14 ministers from various countries. They gave presentations and their work on the Muhammadiyah movement abroad.
Later, after this event was over, the seminar committee will make the output of this seminar which will be translated into 3 languages (English, Arabic, Indonesian) then will be submitted to Muhammadiyah University before the congress which will be held on 18-20 November 2022.
Khudzaifah hoped that this pre-congress seminar was known to the public, both the domestic public of Muhammadiyah and non-Muhammadiyah then known to the international public. So, the existence and sustainability of Muhammadiyah's da'wah is increasing.
