Mr. Prof. Dr. dr. EM Sutrisna, M.Kes, as the head of the UMS Covid-19 task force said that “the quota for this Vaccine booster event is about 1200 participants and the form already filled up by 1182 people on the night before the event. As long as the doses are available, all participants will be served. There is no batch or session because Health Department provides a lot of paramedics and opens up to five lines of vaccination so it makes no crowds, all participants served along the line directly” (02/ 24/ 2022).
He also said that by this vaccine booster event, hopefully, the immunity lecturers, employees, and students of UMS could be stronger against the covid-19 virus. Therefore, learning at the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta could be implemented smoothly and also could realize face-to-face learning immediately.
One of the participants in this event, Ravena Wulan Oktavia a 2019 health sciences student said that the socialization of this activity was considered insufficient. Because she got the information on the registration of the booster vaccine a few hours before the event was held. However, the service provided was quite good. Everything has been neatly arranged so that participants were not confused nor did they cause long queues. And she was quite satisfied with the services provided by the paramedics.
“I hoped this event would not only be carried out once. So that UMS lecturers, staff, and students who have not received a booster vaccine dose can receive it if this activity is carried out more than once. Because maybe many lecturers, staff ,and students are not aware of this event considering the lack of socialization provided, added her (02/ 24/ 2022).”
