On Saturday, April 16, 2022, Rapma FM UMS (Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta) has successfully held RAPMADAY#8 with the theme “Represent the Difference”, which means introducing diversity. This event was held offline in FEB Seminar building, Campus 2 UMS and online through the official Rapma FM YouTube channel platform. RAPMADAY itself is an annual event for Rapma FM, which aims to introduce new programs, new crews, and other new things.

The first update is the emergence of a new broadcast program, “SPORTACULAR”, which will on-air every Saturday, from 11.00 to 13.00 WIB. This new broadcast program will discuss about the world of sports, from e-sports to regular sports. The SPORTACULAR program will also talk about memes in sports, viral info, and upcoming sports matches.
On that occasion, Rapma FM has also updated and added new features to the Rapma FM Radio application which can be downloaded via Play store. One of the new features is “Song Request” where listeners can send a song request in real-time. How to use this feature is listeners can press the song request menu, which will be directly directed to the WhatsApp chat, and then listeners can request the desired song by chat with the admin in the chat column.

Besides introducing new things in Rapma FM, this event was also enlivened by the invitation of several UKM (Student Activity Unit) such as the Art and Film Unit or USF, The Lugu Theater, Voca Al Kindi, and Tapak Suci. Each UKM showed their skills and then continued with a mini talk show that was guided by the host from Rapma FM. USF with its Ikat dance performances, Lugu theater with their Bajidor Kahot dance performances, Voca Al Kindi with 2 title songs: Padamu Pahlawan and Selamat Jalan SyahidaNuria, and Tapak Suci also joining performance to show their skills and entertained the audience.
As in the previous years, Rapma FM also collaborated with Lazismu UMS in carrying out charity activities as a form of concern for others. Later, the results of the charity will be given to people in need.
