Supporting Offline Lectures at Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta through Vaccination

Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta cooperates with Muhammadiyah Covid-19 Command Center (MCCC), Ministry of Health and Health Department of Surakarta City holds vaccination of Covid-19 for students of UMS, lecturers, employees and their families, and general public of the Solo city. This event will be held 3 days, on October 6, 12, and 13, 2021 in Edutorium KH. Ahmad Dahlan,Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta.


Prof. Dr. dr. EM Sutrisna, M. Kes.as head of MCCC said, “this vaccinations targeted 7500 participants, but participants who have registered in the system just around 1000. We should be grateful because this signifies that the public awareness about vaccinations was already high, and many students have already vaccinated in their respective areas”.

Before following this event, participants must register in the link that has been shared on the pamphlet. They must also bring a photocopy of identity card, pen, and proof of registration that has been sent via participant’s email. They also have to come according to a predetermined group, morning, afternoon, or evening.


Sutrisna also explained that, the second dose of vaccine will be administered 28 days after the first dose of vaccine. For people who want to register for the second dose of vaccine, it is possible because the vaccine is a package (dose 1 and 2). The requirement of second vaccine is those who have received the 1st dose of vaccine or those who missed the 2nd dose of vaccine elsewhere in the Surakarta area.

This program is one of the roles of UMS to end the pandemic, and supports UMS which in this semester has targeted offline lectures in stages, where the requirement to participate offline is at least has been vaccinated the first dose.


Sutrisna also hoped by this program, the entire UMS academic community would get all vaccines as long as they passed the screening, the community around UMS or Solo Raya had vaccines approaching 100% or even 100% so that this pandemic would end, our PPKM level would immediately drop to level one or not at all.


Lina, a UMS 1st semester student from Solo, admitted that at first, she was nervous when she was about to take vaccinations, but she was able to enjoy it after undergoing it. According to her, the service provided by UMS was good and fast. He also hoped that information related to vaccination could be extended to the general public around Solo.
