MPM (Student Consultative Assembly) UMS (Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta) again held a General Assembly on March 12-13, 2022. This assembly was a continuation of the previous General Assembly that had not been completed on March 19-20 2022 but had to be postponed due to borrowing a place for only two days. This session was again held in the FEB Seminar room (Faculty of Business Economics), UMS and invited all representatives from SG-U (Student Government-University) and UKM-U (Student Activity Unit-University).
On the first day, March 12, 2022, the assembly which was planned to start at 10.00 am had to be postponed until around 12.30 because the participants who did not reach the quorum were added by the Student President who was not present. This condition was exacerbated by the format of the accountability report from the UMS BEM (Student Executive Board) which was still in soft file form, while the audience who attended wanted the format in printed form.
The chairman of MPM, Arifin Qois Naufal, said that regarding the unprinted LPJ (Accountability Report) format, it was purely MPM's fault.
"The LPJ that has not been printed is because of our limitations. Because the funds we asked for from Bagmawa (Student Department) have not been disbursed until now for several reasons. First, the Bagmawa felt that MPM was incompetent because the assembly had been prepared for a long time but had not been completed. The second reason was that the treasurer of the Ormawa (Student Organization) had a severe Omicron, so he could not enter because he was still sick, said Arifin."
Finally, after the forum agreement, the audience made contributions to print the accountability report and collected around Rp300. 000.
"Around Rp300.000 were collected and finally LPJ continued to be printed even though there are still shortages because yesterday multiplying the hard files almost cost Rp700.000. Apart from my friends' dues, there is also personal money from MPM's member, added Arifin."
After encountering several technical problems, the assembly was finally able to continue with the reading of the BEM accountability report; although in the end, it had to be postponed again until tomorrow at 08.00 a.m.

However, again participants who did not reach the quorum and the absence of the Student President became a major problem so the general assembly could not be continued immediately. The assembly was again postponed until 12.20 p.m. and around 13.00 the student president, Widi Adi Nugroho, arrived. In his report, Widi said that his delay was due to a family event that could not be left behind. He also apologized to the participants who had waited for hours.
And when asked about the Ministry of BEM, which was also very much absent, he explained that most of them were at home, working, and having an event. According to him, the delay in the periodization of the management has also become a problem for the absence of many BEM ministries because they were starting to get busy with their respective interests.
The chairman of MPM, Arifin Qois Naufal explained that the agenda of the general assembly could not be held immediately because previously there were still several unresolved problems. It includes the election problem, the findings related to violations committed by President Widi until the Special Assembly was held but did not go according to plan because President Widi walked out until finally an ad-hoc team was formed, and the last one was waiting for the UMS BEM performance survey until the debate was held.
However, once again the assembly had to be postponed again because the LPJ format from the BEM was not appropriate. The assembly was postponed until 16.14 p.m. on the condition that the signed LPJ was made into a hard file.
And until the end of the assembly rundown at 18.00 p.m., the General Assembly which was planned for two days could not be completed again. Based on information from the Whatsapp group, the General Assembly will be held again on 15-18 March 2022 in the C4 FKIP UMS room.
Arifin stated that MPM only facilitates space and time. It was also the responsibility of all assembly participants that the court case continues to withdraw.
"An event can be carried out when there is cooperation among all elements involved in the event, as well as this General Assembly. We only facilitate the time and place, related to the use of time is our friends who arrange. We, from the organizers, have also warned regarding time, said Arifin."
He also hoped, as much as possible, friends who will occupy positions in SG-U in the future do not repeat the same events in the SG-U period. They can make Student Government at the university healthy, good, and can solve problems without dragging on.
